5G Free California started in 2018 as a group of 4 women, and as of May 2020 we have over 1,000 participants.
We work statewide, nationally, and globally, through our collaboration with 5GFree.org, 5G Crisis, and Stop 5G International.
Our focus is on education, motivation, outreach, community organizing, broad collaboration, and solutions — including legal solutions, legislative solutions, and an understanding that stopping the 5G roll-out and the proliferation of wireless technology will take broad collaboration and leadership — we must all be leaders in this movement, and no one should be left out.
Our monthly meetings (first Thursdays) bring in experts and collaborators, and all are welcome. Our last meeting was the “Ask The Lawyers” webinar, and upcoming meetings (currently via Zoom) will include “Lessons from the Champions Who Have Stopped Towers”, “Meters – Everything You Need to Know”, and anything else that is deemed useful to advance our mutual
objectives.
Our primary focus is on legal solutions, and we participate in and help fund and support lawsuits that can make a difference.
We welcome your ideas about what is needed so we can be a resource to all, and hope to continue and strengthen our collaboration with 5GFree.org, 5G Crisis, and other groups making headway in this fight. We are available to help you get started in your city and/or to brainstorm with you along the way.
On June 6th for the Stop 5G Global Day of Action we helped organize a Press Conference, Forum, and Festival in Boyle Heights, a vibrant East Los Angeles neighborhood where Verizon has begun construction of a 45-foot cell tower in the middle of their community garden, and within 500 feet of 7 schools, including their pre-school. It is a pleasure to work with communities that are so well-organized, and we will continue to stand with them and with all of you.

Because of health, environmental, and privacy concerns, in autumn 2018 a small group began organizing as 5G Free Topanga in an effort to stop the 5G roll-out following the FCC 5G Small Cell Order. In summer 2019, the group changed its name to 5G Free Topanga and Beyond to reflect its widening reach. In autumn of 2019, this quickly-growing group changed its name to 5G Free California in preparation for networking and collaborating with other local groups up and down the state, and attained 501(c)3 non-profit organization status.
We are working to stop the 5G rollout and limit wireless radiation and to support local groups in their efforts to do the same. Some of the local communities we are supporting and collaborating with include: Glendale, Boyle Heights, Sunland, Santa Monica, Studio City, Westchester, and many others. We also host meetings with lawyers and support legal strategies to halt the 5G rollout.
An estimated 15% of the population was already electro-sensitive (ES) when tested in 2004, and many more people identify as ES today with the current proliferation of 2G, 3G, and 4G wireless infrastructure. People are already suffering illness and disease from existing technologies. 5G is hundreds of times stronger, and uses millimeter waves instead of microwaves.
Two recent studies, the first done by The National Institute of Health/National Toxicology Program, which was then replicated by Italy’s Ramazzani Institute, show clear evidence of statistically significant links to seven types of cancer from 3G, the latest technology tested. There are tests on 5G technology, but most of them are classified, because those wavelengths are used by the military.
Over 10,000 other scientific studies have been done showing links between microwave pulse radiation and a host of health problems, including cancers; many of these studies demonstrate environmental harm. (https://www.5gspaceappeal.org/the-appeal)
5G is 500x more radiating than 4G and includes small cell towers every 200 feet and 50,000 satellites blanketing the entire planet in radio-frequency microwave radiation, which provides a final piece in the Internet of Things (IOT).
